Bicyclist-Drive right or when I hit you, you'll take flight.

These are the things I have complaints and issues about regarding people that ride a bike. This is not about Harley Driver’s or any other type of motorcycle drivers – they had to get a license to drive. These complaints are about the people that peddle bikes and don’t have to worry about losing their drivers license for not following the rules of the road. I have to obey the rules of the road (or at least not get caught by the cops disobeying them) so I can keep my drivers license.

Bicyclists think that they are so much better then people in cars that they think they do not have to obey the law. (For all of you that don’t know – bikes have to obey the same traffic laws as vehicles)

The following items are illegal – and should be ticketed just like a driver would be ticketed if they didn’t follow these basic rights of the road.

You have to drive on the right side of the road. (That means when I am driving down the road correctly I should just see your behind not your face – I realize that maybe some of you aren’t proud of your behind and really don’t want me to see that slab of fat drooping over both sides of your bike seat – I am not really happy about seeing it either – but rules are rules)

If it’s night out you have to have your lights on –remember most cars weigh over one ton and if they can’t see you – they can’t swerve to get out of your way and if a car hits a bike the car is the one that will probably win.

You can’t drive on the side walk – It’s called a side walk for a reason (for people to walk on) It’s not called a bike path. If I am driving my car on the sidewalk the first thing the cop would do is make my take a breathalyzer test – if you are riding on the side walk and come across someone walking – you probably make them jump out of your way – that ain’t fair.

If you read this and get all huffy (or schwinn), then you are probably one of the people that aren’t following the rules of the road. But if you are one of those people that read this and agree – then you probably have the common sense to wear a helmet and obey the rules and for you I promise not to get behind you and honk!! Unless of course you are one of those guys with the nice behind that looks great in tight bike shorts that obeys the rules and gives me the pleasure of looking at your very fine behind – then I will have to honk in appreciation.

If you agree or disagree with me please leave your feedback in the feedback forum on the Catty Kim website.
