The George Foreman products I own and loved

We all have a favorite small appliance and I am going to tell you about mine – it is the George Foreman Grill. I have the large one but I did have the small one and it was great also.

You might ask – Why is the George Foreman your favorite small appliance?? And I would answer: “It is fast, convenient and I love sharing the stories of the many uses I have found for it.

My favorite thing on a George Foreman is bacon – first of all it cooks it on both sides at the same time (fast) second of all the weight of the lid presses it and makes the bacon not shrivel up. If you have a smaller George Foreman – just cut the bacon package in half, that way the slices fit perfectly. If you want to cook a larger amount fast, buy the larger George Foreman. I also don’t get my fingers burnt by grease spatter. If you are into a low cholesterol diet (unlike me) all the fat drips off into an easy to clean drip pan cutting the fat. But, if you love to fry your eggs in bacon grease you can still do that – just make sure you are using a clean drip pan, take the grease out of it and put it in your frying pan and cook your eggs!!!! Yummy!!

If you are into low cholesterol you can just skip the next 2 paragraphs. But if don’t care, try these two ideas. Take half a pound of bacon layer it on your George Foreman, then add one can of corned beef hash and layer the second half of the bacon on the top. Cook till the bacon is done and enjoy a bacon, corned beef sandwich. This is really good because the top layer of bacon drips its fat onto the hash and makes it taste wonderful.

Another idea – take some of those hash brown patties they sell at the store wrap them in bacon and put on the grill till the bacon is crisp. Talk about an excellent flavor and they are portable.

I use my George Foreman Grill at least 4 times a week and recommend you do also.

My second favorite small appliance is…………………drumroll please…the baby George rotisserie –the only thing it is small in is the amount of room it takes up on your counter. I have cooked a chicken, a pork roast, a London broil and a tip roast on the rotisserie part and they have all come out fantastic!! Clean-up is a breeze.

I have also used the basket part of it to cook something you might not think of, French fries and pizza rolls they come out wonderfully. The only thing I would recommend is do not cook small French fries in it, they do fall through (but, if you are like me and love fries) this is a good thing, the smaller ones cook faster and when they fall through you can nibble on them while waiting for the larger ones to cook. This product cleans like a breeze and I will be updating this sight as I come up with more ways to use it.
